Neighbors of Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa Arrested After Security Camera Captures Unusual Behavior on Tragic Night
Santa Fe, New Mexico – In a dramatic new development, local police have arrested a man named Charles, a longtime neighbor of the late actor Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa. The arrest came just 30 minutes before the media received an official announcement, after investigators discovered an illegally placed security camera near the celebrity couple’s home.
What does the security camera reveal?
According to a source close to the Santa Fe Police Department, the camera was found in a bush about 30 feet from the side entrance of Hackman’s home. The camera – a wireless, remote data connection – is believed to have recorded images on the night Betsy Arakawa is believed to have died of hantavirus pulmonary syndrome.

However, the footage was more than just regular nighttime activity. According to preliminary reports, the camera captured a man wandering around the house between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. It is believed that the man was Charles, a neighbor who lived two doors down, with his physical features, clothing, and a distinctive tattoo on his arm visible in one angle of the footage.
